This policy explains what information House of S&D Creative Studio ("we", "us"), operated by House of S&D, LLC, collects through houseofsandd.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at [email protected].
What we collect
When you send an inquiry
Our contact form asks for your name, email address and, optionally, your phone number and preferred contact method. It also asks about your project: the service you're interested in, dates, location, budget range, project details, links to files you choose to share, and how you heard about us. We also record when the inquiry was sent and which page it came from.
To block spam, the form checks how long the page was open before you submitted it, and limits how many inquiries can be sent from one email address. This information is not used for anything else.
When you book or pay
Bookings, agreements, invoices and photo galleries are handled by Pixieset. Card and bank payments are processed by Pixieset's payment partner, Stripe. We can see what you booked and whether a payment went through, but we never see or store your full card or bank account number.
When you email or message us
We keep the messages you send us so we can reply and keep track of your project.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry, prepare a quote, and schedule your session or project.
- To provide the services you book, send invoices, and deliver your photos, videos or designs.
- To keep records we are required to keep, such as invoices for tax purposes.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we use to run the studio, and only what they need:
- Google Workspace, where inquiries are emailed to us and logged in a private spreadsheet.
- Pixieset and Stripe, for bookings, agreements, payments and private galleries.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and may process your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
- Google Fonts and Sanity, which deliver this site's fonts and portfolio images. Your browser requests these files directly, so those providers receive your IP address.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Pixieset's booking and gallery pages are run by Pixieset and may use their own cookies, described in their privacy policy. If a portfolio project includes an embedded video, it loads in privacy-enhanced mode (YouTube's no-cookie player or Vimeo's do-not-track setting).
Photos of you
Your private gallery is shared only with you and anyone you share it with. We only show images from a session in our portfolio, website or social media when you have given permission in your agreement. If you'd like a published image removed, email us and we'll take it down.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries and project records for as long as we need them to work with you, and generally no longer than three years after our last contact, unless we must keep them longer for tax or legal reasons. Galleries are stored by Pixieset for the period stated in your agreement.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some records, such as invoices, where the law requires it.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Sessions that include minors are booked by a parent or guardian.
Security
Our accounts use two-step verification, our inquiry log is private to the studio owners, and this site contains no passwords or keys. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share with us.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
